Abstract:
Many companies require their employees to have an annual physical check-up as a preventive measure. But when it comes to the shell mold system, companies may ignore this vital step.
Too many times we do not analyze or take any action on numerous data a foundry collects. Often strong and direct signals from the mold system data, is missed. Due to inaction, smaller or insignificant issues become disasters, leading to additional scrap and rework.
In this technical paper we will discuss a step by step process to identify, evaluate and improve the total shell mold system.
